Meet Horatio. He's at the top of his game when it comes to home security. Don't let the disguise fool you, he won't think twice about doing whatever it takes to stop an intruder...and I do mean whatever it takes. He might even kill them......with laughter.

Here's the third drawing in what is becoming a small series featuring a small white haired little girl who's name is Dawn. She finds herself on a series of bizarre islands. This is either the way she gets to them, or escapes. I'm leaning towards this being her ride to them. Any suggestions? To see more of her, check out

The Plinkalot

Deep deep down in the Wollynuck Forrest, the Plinkalot pokes his head. He looks around, and fears the world won't miss him when he's dead...will you?

Travis would dress his lower half up as Mr. Fineous McBride so often that he soon became entangled in a bizarre identity crisis. After a while he could no longer distinguish the line between where he ended and McBride began.

Here's my interpretation of this week's IllustrationFriday theme "Communication." I started with the main shape, added houses, and it just ballooned from there. The idea behind it is that sometimes, we're so wrapped up in what we think is important that we fail to see the big picture...hence a lack of communication. I had fun experimenting with creating my own brushes to paint this one.

I'm thinking way too hard lately and it has to stop. Everything will get done in time, on time and it's progressing as such. So long as I don't stop thinking all together, things will be ok. I just need to K.I.S.S.

My Birthday.

So today was my birthday. A day to remember that you are one year closer to the end. A time to look back and reflect upon what you have or have not accomplished. (Birthdays should be considered clinical situations.) Luckily, for part of the day I was able to spend it with someone who's main concern was that I forgot about the day and did their best just to make me smile. Thank you, Kat. I'm lucky to have you. Also, thank you to everyone who sent their well wishes my way. I don't feel older yet and I hope I never do.

Who knows where it comes from, all you need to know is that it exists damnit! That's the spirit that we need in this country. I'm sure with this attitude, nothing bad could ever happen...ever.

Oh Gravity...

This week's Illustration Friday topic was "gravity" and this is naturally the first thing that jumped into my head...naturally. If it's any consolation, Barry the whale led a good life. He was well respected within his pod and quite popular with the ladies if you know what I mean...and I think that you do.

Portrait of a Geet

This is a Geet. I'm the proud owner of three of these little guys! I picked them up at a craft fair that I was in for my Adimals and I was stationed next to Kristie Carlisle Duncan and her wonderful creative crafts. I'm glad that I met her because she was really nice and makes great stuff...especially these little guys she calls "Geets." I recommend that everyone go and check out her site and see what she's up to. They're like crafty potato chips in that you can't buy just one!

Inspiration is a funny thing. Sometimes you feel like no matter where you look, nothing seems to move you to create. Other times, it's right under your nose...all you have to do is look down. That's just what I did and now we have today's doodle. Thanks Erin.

I'm not a big fan of reality tv and I think this doodle sums up why. Well, maybe not the best way to express this concept but I wanted to correllate the two.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

Here's the front of the card that I made for my girlfriend for Valentine's Day this year. The inside reads, "Get it? (You see, traditonally, people have carved their initials into trees to express their feelings towards each other. In this case, the tree itself is the one doing the carving resulting in a humorous situation.)

Here's the e-card I made for everyone who has supported me by helping my little empire grow. I make stuffed animals called "Adimals" and personally I think they rock...hard. You should go check them out if this is new to you!

This was fun! Here's a tribute to Mr. Stefan G. Bucher's DAILY MONSTER. He's doing some really great work and is getting the credit he deserves. I've been following this project for a while thanks to the great "Drawn" blog. If anyone is lacking in the inspiration dept. I suggest you hop on over to these sites.

Buckets of fun while growing up. Everyone experiences growing pains, and no I don't mean the heartwarming television train wreck starring Alan Thicke. (That's not to say I didn't watch it.) What I mean is that even when you grow up and think you're done growing because you can no longer feel the physical pain of growing, you continue to grow emotionally. This isn't a profound or even ground breaking statement, it's just a self reflection.

What does it all mean?

Well if I told you, then that would spoil the fun of letting at least one person read into it. Don't think too hard, it'll just make your spine hurt. Sure I was feeling some emotions that needed to be vaguley expressed through a doodle but that doesn't mean it can't be applied to your life. What does it all mean?

Winter hurts my hands. I always forget that even though I love the snow, winter has been a hash mistress on my hands the last few years. They dry out, crack, and bleed. This is crazy painful and more importantly, annoying. Even typing irritates them. I think I'll go take a bath in some lotion and neosporin.
