So just the other day I got to talking with a total stranger about how I'm an animator. The man immediately replied, "Like Disney and stuff. So you probably want to work there, right?" Now I don't mind that too much, in fact that's probably the default response that most people give me. (That leads into another topic for another time.) What was noteworthy about this particular exchange is what he said next. "Wasn't Walt Disney an animator?" After an awkward brain-melting pause, I realized that this was not meant as a rhetorical or even sarcastic question.
