I Spy...

Sorry it's been a few days since I last updated...I was fortunate enough to get a freelance gig working on an animation for a new MTV show. I'll have more details on that later. Above is both my entry of this week's I.F. and the fourth illustration in a series for a side project I've been working on. To see some of the other works in the series click here and follow the links. Let me know what you think.

What? You want to see what more of my friends look like? You also want to see them superimposed on top of a crappy 1980's school photo back-drop? Well shoot, here goes! This is my friend Timmy Farrell. He has award winning cartoons with 82% more dick jokes than your average animation. Make sure you check out his work. Prepare yourself so that you don't choke on the awesometacularity of it all.

So, as if my friend Jeff Roth needed more of an ego booster, I decided to draw him while I had some down time between animations. Enjoy buddy!

This was the start of the most bizarre day of Marty's life. Perhaps had he brushed regularly this would have never happened. All that he could do now was charge rent. (See kids, listen to your folks, this could happen to you!)

Fortune

Sooner or later, everyone in Slugsville had a photo of themselves next to Charlie's big discovery. It would later prove to be quite the tourist attraction drawing in record numbers of crowds resulting in a much needed boost to their town's economy.

Good Day, Sunshine!

Today was good. I had steak. Oh yeah..........and it was 80 degrees out for some bizarre reason. It's supposed to go down to 30 with a chance of snow by friday but until then, "Good day, sunshine!" ;)

On a side note: Recently, I had the pleasure of joining a great bunch of creative people over at www.SugarFrostedGoodness.com Thanks to Jeff and everybody there for giving me such a warm welcome!

After a brief stint on the Galapagos Islands, William was finally ready to set sail for what would become a 14 month journey to return the stolen cargo he had picked up in Maine. He would fish during the day and what he didn't gut and eat for dinner became his seafaring companions. It was a love eat relationship.

This Is Sparta?

The 300 might have been a different battle had this been the case. They would have gotten winded halfway through and taken constant fondue breaks. It's a good thing fried food wasn't around back then.

...And they said I couldn't draw something that looked like this. Well ha! I did it! It totally looks like this. Now if I could only figure out what it is. Any suggestions?

They tell me it's all a scam. True or not, the last few years have introduced new weather phenomenon such as hot winters and thunder snow. Polar opposite syndrome all 'round. All I know is that's not how I remember things being when I was growing up...

Here's my mid-week entry for this week's Illustration Friday topic "Hide." There's a little kid down in there getting ready to seek by the tree...he's really tiny. Trust me, he's there.
Who doesn't remember playing hide and go seek with their dino-monster as a kid. My dino-monster never had the luxury of hiding behind mountains. In all fairness, he told me that it really wasn't his game. He was much better at knock-hockey.

This is Seymour. Seymour works in accounting all day and doesn't get out much. He's the best damn collator anyone has ever seen. He can process up to five quantocks a siznar. People often made fun of him growing up because of his weird name but when he returns to his 20 flunktok class reunion, he vows to show up in style.

Good morning, and welcome to March! Who knew it would get here as fast as it did. Above, you can see I'm still playing with the new brushes that I made last night. As you'll see (if you visit my blog with any kind of frequency) I happen to really enjoy drawing trees. I'm not sure there's an underlying reason behind it other than the fact that I find them fun to draw. Plus, I wish I had a tire swing growing up. Sure that wasn't a funny post, just a little factoid about me. Ta-da!

Meet Horatio. He's at the top of his game when it comes to home security. Don't let the disguise fool you, he won't think twice about doing whatever it takes to stop an intruder...and I do mean whatever it takes. He might even kill them......with laughter.
